Premier in overnight express: Innight delivers dangerous goods

Publish Date : 5 May 2004 at 16:28 CET -

This will lift the restriction of transporting goods classified as Class 2 to 4 goods under ADR regulations (Factor ADR 1.1.3.6). Although explosive goods are still in general excluded, exceptions have been made for the very important automotive segment: TNT Innight will transport airbags, seatbelt pretensioners and other Class 1, Division 1.4G and 1.4S goods. In addition to these goods, there are a multitude of other goods that the overnight express dangerous goods officer can release from the restricted list in individual cases. One example is diagnostic samples from the medical industry.

With this extension of its service to the transport of dangerous goods - with delivery by 8 am the next day - Innight has expanded its product portfolio to offer a service that is a premier for Germany and one that customers have been strongly demanding.

'With this, Innight is meeting the current needs of the market and its customers', says Georg Kierdorf (COO of In-night Express GmbH & Co. KG). This service is aimed at, among others, transporters in the agricultural machinery, construction equipment and industrial truck industry, as well as customers in the automotive industry, in the broadest sense. Companies active in the high-tech, medicine and diagnostics industries also rank among the interested clientele. The development of a dangerous goods transport service is the prelude to a host of product innovations that Innight will launch on the market in 2004.
