IT Interfaces

TNT has developed a number of fully-supported systems that can be installed at your company's location(s) to provide integrated shipping facilities - from consignment note production and track & tracing, to detailed management reporting.

Our systems use internationally recognised standards for EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), including EDIFACT and ANSI-X12. And we also employ Internet-based XML, which is expected to replace EDI in the long term.

XML enables one web server to talk to (and exchange data with) another. Although it's similar to EDI, it offers several additional benefits: it is easy to implement. And it is instant.

If, for example, your company's web server was to send a consignment number or identifier to the TNT web server - using the XML standard - the TNT server would immediately return the required tracking data, enabling your web server to publish, analyse and store that data in line with your requirements.

Our broad portfolio of integrated multi-platform shipping systems and applications offers a plethora of features and functionality.
