Indoor Sales Executive

Key Activities / Accountabilities

Market Place Information

To gather competitor and customer data through indoor sales activities in order to create awareness of local market trends and competitors activities.

  • Interacts with customers, over the telephone, to establish market information specific to them
  • Keeps up-to-date with local market trends and relates impacts upon their customers via media such as; newspapers, internet, etc…
  • Collects competitor intelligence e.g. Rate Tariffs, brochures, etc…
  • Shares information within the sales team to improve the ability of yourself and others to identify the most applicable TNT service against competitor product offers


Selling

To win Ad-hoc and Small and develop Ad-hoc, Small, Medium and Large customers within a specific geographic territory, through regular telephone, in order to generate and meet revenue targets within the guidelines set out within the commercial policy and centrally agreed sales processes in order to meet both individual and team activity and productivity KPIs.

  • Performs calls to appropriate contacts within existing and prospect customers according to the standard activity KPIs and centrally agreed sales processes
  • Supports direct mail campaigns by following-up on each mail item with each customer over the telephone
  • Identifies the traffic profile of a customer and acts accordingly e.g. makes an appointment for the Field Sales Executive where the customer is of a Medium or Large size
  • Consistently presents the full range of products, services and technologies to every customer over the telephone
  • Wins new, Ad-hoc and Small, customers through the closing of business on the appropriate tariffs


Sales Administration

To perform all sales administration activities in order to maintain accurate information essential to sustain revenue and customer service and maximise the face-to-face selling time of the Field Sales Executive.

CSR and Health & Safety

Comply with the company's corporate social responsibility, health, safety and environmental standards and responsibilities as identified within TNT Express management systems.

At any time and any where perform the activities and display the behaviours that are designed to deliver a distinctive Customer Experience. These activities and behaviours are highlighted in the "Delighting Customers" core competency and in any additional Customer Experience behavioural guideline applicable to the role.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Minimum secondary education certificate a must (should be attested).
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets
  • Fluency written and spoken English is essential
  • An excellent communicator
  • Business to business/customer selling skills
  • Communication capability at management level, both internally and externally
  • Ability to interpret standard business reports and employ information effectively both internally and externally
  • Arabic is an advantage, although not essential
