Italy Service Update
: Friday, 27 January 201227 January 2012 - Situation improves but roadblocks continue
TNT is pleased to advise customers that the situation in Italy is beginning to improve and roadblocks have been lifted in many parts of the country, particularly in the north.
At present, roadblocks continue to affect operations in southern Italy, particularly those areas in and around Bari, Lecce, Taranto, Napoli, Avellino, Salerno, Reggio Calabria, Catanzaro, Cosenza, Frosinone, Olbia, Cagliari, Sassari, Terrasini, Pesaro, Civitanova, Ancona, San Benedetto, Termoli and Foggia. However, all International gateways remain open.
Contingency plans are being deployed and TNT’S domestic operations will return to normal as soon as the strikes are brought to an end. We apologise for any inconvenience and we wish to ensure customers we are doing all we can to minimise disruption to our network.
