General Service Update
: Thursday, 8 March 20128 March 2012 - Regional flooding continues
TNT wishes to advise customers that heavy rainfall and resulting floods continue to impact a number of TNT’s operations today.
While flood waters are beginning to recede in Wagga, some areas remain under water and will not be serviced until further notice. TNT recommends customers utilise our online track and trace application for more detailed consignment status updates.
Further north and north-west, the Forbes and Griffith areas remain underwater. At present, all freight is being held by TNT agents and we anticipate service to these areas will resume on Monday, March 12, 2012.
Following heavy overnight showers, some Sydney metropolitan areas did experience localised flooding this morning and were therefore unserviceable. While TNT anticipates most freight will be delivered today, there may be some delays to our time definite Priority services.
Flood waters also continue to affect our operations in Shepparton with Numurkah, Katamatite, Tallygaroopna, Wunghnu & Nathalia unserviceable at present.
TNT will continue to monitor the situation closely and develop further contingencies as weather and associated circumstances improve.
