Domestic Consignment
The consignment note contains all the details about your shipment and accompanies the shipment throughout its journey.
Complete the consignment note clearly and accurately, particularly the sender and recipient name and address.
Consignment number
Every shipment is assigned a unique consignment number. It appears underneath the bar code. You can use these letters and numbers to track the status of your shipment through our tracking tool. Please make a note of your consignment number for future reference.

Ensure that you follow the consignment note checklist:
- Full name and address (including postcode) of sender. No PO Box addresses
- Full name and address (including postcode) of receiver. No PO Box addresses
- Service to be charged is to be indicated by placing a cross in the appropriate box. Different rates apply for each service. If no box is marked our Road Express service and rate applies.
- Freight charges to be paid by? Ensure Sender, Receiver of Third party is clearly indicated
- Account number of the party to be charged for the freight
- If a third party is selected for charging, the third party name, address and account number must be completed
- Description of goods
- Number of items. This must match the number of items available for collection (maximum of eight items per consignment)
- The weight of the item(s) in kilograms
- The dimensions of the item(s) in centimetres
- The quantity of the items to which the dimensions apply
- Dangerous Goods declaration must be made for every consignment. If yes, a separate Shippers Declaration must be provided to the Sender
- Sender's signature and date of collection to agree to TNT's terms and conditions
- Extended Warranty fields are to be completed where the customer requires a warranty
- Ensure that barcode labels are applied to each item of freight This is important for 'Track and Trace' capabilities
Important Note:
The above details must be completed by the Customer before the driver enters their run and adds the date of pick-up.
