Domestic Security Surcharge
The TNT Domestic Security Surcharge is a charge applied by TNT which has regard to the security costs associated with freight movements within the Domestic Priority and Time Critical network.
Current TNT Domestic Security Surcharge Rate:
From 30 June 2019 to 15 August 2020: 2.5%
Updated TNT Domestic Security Surcharge Rate:
From 16 August 2020: 9.4%
This update has regard to the investments made by FedEx Express and TNT in new security equipment and examination methods. These investments ensure we meet the regulatory requirements for piece-level examination of domestic air cargo implemented by the Australian Government.
