For a fourth successive year, TNT will be a supporting sponsor of the Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon which is due to take place on Friday the 21st of January 2011. TNT will be providing trucks at the start and at the finish for the expected 10,000 runners to store their personal belongings during the race. This in addition to the critical tasks of importing the timing equipment from Europe and the runner packs from Asia.
On the big day every registered runner, whether in the marathon or any of the other supporting events, will be able to leave their belongings in safe hands during the race. TNT staff will be on hand in the start area to take participants’ belongings and store them securely. Later, after everybody’s exertions they will be quickly returned to their owners.
TNT will also be promoting commitment to the environment by distributing 5,000 Planet me jute bags at the venue to both runners and spectators of the race.
