Customer Service 

The Customer Service department exists to be the point of contact between TNT clients and the company. The function of the department is to provide excellent accessibility and first call resolution to customers, and to maximize available revenue opportunities for the business whilst providing an exceptional customer experience. The objective is to be recognized as the leader of Customer Service provision in the industry by providing customers with friendly fault free service 24 hours/day – 7days/week. 

Commercial

The Commercial Department supports the TNT Express strategy by increasing revenue and account acquisition in excess of the market and creates a balanced customer portfolio and revenue mix. Commercial ensures that all customer pricing is fully optimized to achieve the required level of profitability, revenue growth and customer retention. The department aims to achieve this by consistently improving TNT’s ability to win, keep, and develop profitable customers using a clear value proposition based on excellent commercial discipline and practices. The objective of the department is to ensure TNT North American Business Unit achieves both its annual financial objectives and its strategic intent. 

Finance and Administration 

The Finance and Administration department oversees aspects of the company that deal with invoicing and dept managing. Functions within the department include billing, credit, collections, accounts payable, and payroll. The objective of the department is to achieve continuous improvement in invoice quality and debt management and achieve results that are recognized as best in class. 

Human Resources 

The Human Resources (HR) department exists to manage and coordinate HR function for the business unit while supporting and advising management and employees with regard to HR processes, HR related activities and systems in line with the HR annual plan and policies to ensure a quantitative and well-equipped and motivated workforce. The objective of the HR department is to consistently and transparently attract, develop and retain quality people who provide outstanding and distinctive service and customer care. 

ICS (Information Communications Services) 

The Information Communications supports both internal and external TNT customers in their requests and quests regarding technical services. The department aims to leverage technology to meet the company’s strategic plan. ICS’s objective is to enable the company to optimize the ROI on Information Systems and to enhance profitability through the problem resolution of IT based queries from both internal and external users. 

Marketing 

The Marketing department acts as a strategic insight and support group on all matters relating to marketing, media relations, sales support, internal communications and activities for the North America TNT Express region (United States and Canada). 

Operations 

The Operations department oversees all the front-end aspects of the shipment and delivery of client’s packages. The department aims to consistently exceed customers’ expectations and operational standards for delivered on time performance at an optimized cost and zero tolerance in respect to loss and damage. 

Sales 

The objective of the department is to grow the revenue, profitability and trading base across the Ad-hoc, Small, Medium and Large customer classifications through the acquisition of new customers and retention of existing client base. The Sales department is responsible for the profitable growth of the Ad-hoc, Small, Medium and Large customer segments for the country. This growth will be achieved through strategic sales planning and development in combination with the management and development of all employees (direct and functional) with TSM responsibilities.
