Big-hearted charity champions at express delivery giant TNT could be on track to earn national recognition after smashing their own fundraising record and generating more than £14,000 to help fight breast cancer.
The express delivery giant took top honours last year after raising £11,000 in one day for Breast Cancer Campaign's annual 'Wear it Pink' Day - more than any other company in the UK - earning acclaim as the 'Wear It Pink' Fundraiser of the Year in 2006.
Thousands of employees at TNT depots and customer contact centres across the UK donned pink bras, pants, t-shirts, ties, wigs, trousers and other crazy outfits as well as hosting fund-raising events to support the initiative..
Tom Bell, Managing Director, TNT Express Services UK & Ireland, said: "Last year was a phenomenal effort by everyone at the depot so to top it this year is really something special. It never ceases to amaze me the weird and wonderful pink outfits all our people manage to pull out of their wardrobes on Wear it Pink Day.

Pink champion - TNT Wear it Pink fundraising co-ordinator Tracy Ford is hoping the company comes out top again this year
"We may be well known for our orange corporate colours and our orange vehicles, but it was absolutely no problem for us to change to pink for the day to support such a deserving cause."
As Britain's leading business-to-business express delivery company, TNT takes its corporate social responsibilities very seriously. This is evidenced by the £2million raised for the UK children's charity Wooden Spoon and the company's enduring global partnership with the United Nations' World Food Programme, resulting in more than ?7million in donations in the last five years.
Since it started in 2003, Wear it Pink events have raised a staggering £6.6 million to help the Breast Cancer Campaign continue researching the cure for breast cancer.
Wear it Pink also won the UK fund-raising Campaign of the Year award in 2004 - one of the most prestigious fundraising awards of its kind in the UK.
TNT's 'Wear it Pink' fundraising co-ordinator, Tracy Ford said she was delighted by the response from employees in 2007, adding: "We never set out to be the country's top fundraiser but if it happens for a second year running we will be delighted." Breast Cancer Campaign organisers will announce Britain's Wear it Pink Day champion early next year.
