Wolvey's George Lewis is a driving force behind Britain's leading business-to-business express delivery company - so much so that he has been acclaimed as a driving superstar.
George, 59, from Hall Road, Wolvey, topped a competition involving 1,700 other commercial vehicle drivers to win acclaim as the top Four Wheel Driver at the 2009 'Driving Superstars' Awards hosted by Atherstone-based TNT.
Working for the instant response arm of TNT - Special Services - George clocks up in excess of 86,000 miles a year working out of the company's Leicester depot at the Bursom Business Park.

After a magnificent six years of sterling service to TNT in and around Leicestershire, George won recognition at the coveted Awards ceremony after being nominated by a host of the company's customers.
George was nominated by his colleague, Senior Sales Operator Justin Errington, who said of George on the nomination form: "He is a no-nonsense type of character who goes about his work with complete professionalism. Just give him a job and he'll get on with it. He has forged strong relationships with customers and is ready to go further than required to assist customers whenever needed."
George said: "I love my job - I just try to be as professional as I can and treat all my customers as I would like to be treated. Winning this award was such a shock, but I'm really proud."
Grant Cochrane, Divisional General Manager, TNT Special Services, said: "This award underlines TNT Special Services commitment to delivering consistently excellence customer service.
Couriers play a crucial role, providing the service we promise and acting as ambassadors for the company. George is a credit to TNT.
"It's people of George's calibre that set us apart from other carriers in the same day delivery market."
