Caerphilly's Robert Gay is a driving force behind Wales's leading business-to-business express delivery company - so much so that he has been acclaimed as a driving superstar.
Robert, 44, topped a competition involving 1,700 other commercial vehicle drivers to win acclaim as the top Contract Driver at the 2009 'Driving Superstars' Awards hosted by TNT Express Services.

Working on behalf of the company's instant response arm - TNT Special Services - Robert, from St Mary Street, Bedwas, clocks up in excess of 65,000 miles a year working out of the company's depot at Talbot Green, Pontyclun, delivering and collecting to dozens of banks in the area.
After a magnificent ten years of sterling service to TNT in and around South Wales, Robert won recognition at the coveted awards ceremony after being nominated by a host of the company's customers.
Stacie Hall, Customer Adviser at the Tenby branch of Nat West, said: "Rob is the kind of man who is always friendly, smiling and is never late to our branch. He always remains focused and dedicated to providing a first-class service as always."
Robert said: "I love my job - I just try to be as professional as I can and treat all my customers as I would like to be treated. I clock up a lot of miles in my van, so I really enjoy running up flights of stairs whenever I can to keep me as fit as possible!
