Royal Mail strike action - the BBC reports on how it's affecting TNT
TNT has already seen a big increase in customer enquiries at its Contact Centres with an extra 20,000 plus calls flooding in, in the run up to this week's industrial action. The company is projecting an increase of up to 10% in the average number of items it will be moving on behalf of UK plc - something in the order of 25,000 per night - if the strike action goes on over a more prolonged period.
Stuart Stobie, Divisional Managing Director of TNT Express, explained the company's position during a series of live interviews with the BBC. Please click to hear his comments.
