ISO 9000 - TNT Award
TNT UK Limited introduced a quality management system in 1989 to achieve uniform standards of performance and service quality throughout the business.
In 1990 TNT Express became the first provider of time sensitive door to door express parcel delivery services to have its quality systems successfully assessed against British Standard BS5750 Part 2 which subsequently became BS EN ISO 9002. Also in 1990 TNT Logistics became the first supply chain management service provider to be certified to the ISO 9001 standard.
We now have quality management systems in all our major trading divisions approved to the ISO 9000 standard by Lloyds Register of Quality Assurance and the certifications comprise:
As we introduce new divisions and services the company will continue to ensure there are appropriate quality management systems in place to provide excellent and continuously improving performances.
We believe that the best means of guaranteeing robust and best practice compliant systems is to expose the company to the rigours of third party external assessment. This is exactly what Lloyds Register of Quality Assurance provide with a comprehensive triennial programme of re-assessments and six monthly surveillance visits to our company.
