Children in Need - 16th September 2012

TNT employees will be the driving force behind another fundraising night for Children in Need on Friday 16 November 2012, when they man the phones at the contact centre in Lount to take pledges and donations from the British public. Last year, £173,000 was netted during the annual BBC charity telethon, which netted a record-breaking £26.3 million for poorly and underprivileged children throughout the UK.

This is a great opportunity and staff are encouraged to get involved in a range of activities to support the event and raise money. There will be a distinctly disco flavour to the night with a 1980s theme sure to bring out some outrageous fancy dress costumes with employees promising to dress up as TV characters or members of their favourite 80s pop stars.

Managing Director, Alistair Cochrane, is expected to be there to help out, along with other senior managers. Fundraising activities will include an auction, various stalls with raffle items, including items donated by customers.
