Balikpapan, 17 June 2010 – Following the robust state in 2009 where it successfully recorded a 50% (yoy) business growth in , TNT Indonesia (“TNT”) targets another 25% business increase this year. The growth is expected to be driven from heavy equipment and machinery sector from the mining industry, which in 2009 productively contributed 30% of TNT’s total growth in the capital city of East Kalimantan.

TNT has been operating in since 1992 due its significant business prospect for integrated express service. In the past few years, TNT’s business in has grown constantly and became one of the top five revenue contributor for TNT in Indonesia.
As a part of its plan to grow more business in , TNT Indonesia will move its office to a bigger space by end of June 2010. The new expanded office which is two times bigger is facilitated with a bigger Storapart AC, loading & unloading area and warehouse. The expansion is integral to TNT’s business focus to become the leader of integrated express delivery service which offers customers with one-stop solution for all their supply chain needs. The new expanded office which will be located at Jl. Mayjend Sutoyo No. 44 A-B, Rt.42, enables TNT to increase its capability in handling freight shipments with wider range of service varieties that provides more flexible and customized solutions for customers.
“Last year, 30% of our growth in was largely contributed from heavy equipment and machinery sector from the mining industry; with the expansion of our office, we aim for another 10% growth from this sector,” added Mr. Siew.
Despite last year’s global financial turmoil, TNT in has successfully achieved its 20% growth target in 2009. Looking ahead in 2010, TNT is eyeing for another 20% growth by continuously focusing its business in freight and high-value shipment services.
“In the effort to meet our target in Indonesia, we aim to strategically grow our market share in Indonesia by boosting our freight business including the service logistics products and services, growing our strategic lanes, and enhancing our facilities, such as the new expanded office in Balikpapan,” closed Mr. Siew.
Previously, TNT has moved and expanded two offices in Surabaya and Medan.
