TNT Strengthen Partnership with PT Pos Indonesia

TNT and PT Pos Indonesia today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to renew its agreement


TNT and PT Pos Indonesia today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to renew its agreement to jointly provide worldwide express services to customers in Indonesia via Express Post for yet another year. As part of this renewed partnership, PT Pos Indonesia is now also able to extend TNT’s Economy Parce service to all customers with effect from mid of 2008.

 

The MoU extends the relationship between the two companies, which began in 2001 and supports the ongoing efforts of TNT and PT Pos Indonesia to improve air express and delivery services from Indonesia and reach a broader customer base. The relationship allows PT Pos Indonesia to offer worldwide, best-in-class service to its customers without massive investment in global networks or technology while also facilitating competition with other service providers in the market.

 

TNT Indonesia Director Peter Langley said,” We are delighted to be partnering with such a well-regarded organization as PT Pos Indonesia especially as this is a true ‘win-win’ arrangement for both of us. Both parties enjoy the benefits of each others networks without having to set up duplicates. These benefits are then transferred to customers in the form of cost savings, more choices and enhanced, integrated service. In fact, our customer base is constantly growing and this is clearly testament to this winning partnership.”

Commenting on the new deal, PT Pos Indonesia, General Manager of International Post Harjunadi said,” The cooperation with TNT has enabled PT Pos Indonesia to provide broader express post service supported by a state-of-the art track and trace system. TNT’s established reputation in international express service and long term interest in the development of postal services in Indonesia were key factors in our decision to renew the partnership.
