BENGALURU WITNESSES TNT’S GLOBAL INITIATIVE TO END CHILD HUNGER

Bangalore, March, 2009:TNT, a leading provider of global express services has once again displayed its “Sure We Can” attitude. Having a fully integrated air and road network infrastructure, TNT offers customised solutions for every express distribution requirement. This Sunday on March 1st TNT delivered an 82 tonne shipment to reach its destination, Baddi in Himachal Pradesh, all the way from Germany. This shipment was delivered within seven days of being collected.
The consignment consisted of special equipments needed for the production of solar cells and solar silicon, engineering and process-technology services. The collection of the equipment started from Germany, from where it was brought to Amsterdam and later proceeded to Delhi by the freighter, where it continued the rest of the journey by road to Baddi in Himachal Pradesh, the final destination. The shipment arrived on a freighter and then travelled further in 11 special Thermo Mega Trailers (temperature controlled transport). The credit of this successful operation also goes to TNT’s integrated air and road network, which has enabled them to deliver this huge consignment from Germany to Baddi.
