Bangkok International Airports Closure - Update
The political demonstration that caused Bangkok International Airports closure came to an end today 3rd December at 10:00 a.m.
TNT Thailand is progressively resuming its operations at Suvarnabhumi International Airport. Nevertheless, all inbound shipments will still be received via Singapore and anticipated customs delays, whilst outbound volume are transported via Singapore and Amsterdam Hub until further notice.

Bangkok International Airport Closed
This airport of the protest activity of an antigovernment group was closed on the 25th last night.
The air mail of the arrival schedule lands in another domestic and foreign airport on that day of the 25th.
A great delay will be anticipated in the future.
Formula One Grand Prix in Singapore
Singapore will be having its first ever Formula One Grand Prix from 26th September (Friday) till 28th September (Sunday).
The following roads will be closed during the Grand Prix:
• Raffles Boulevard
• St Andrews Road
• Esplanade Drive
• Nicholl Highway
Delays in pickups and deliveries during the above period are expected. It is requested that escalations are kept to the minimum.
Hong Kong - Typhoon Hagupit (Signal 8)
Typhoon signal no. 8 (Hagupit) was hoisted at HKG at 1800 local time on 23rd SEP 08. HKG is seriously affected by the typhoon and most companies are closed. There is no PUD activity during this period. HKG Hub remains in operations but it is expected that many inbound and outbound flights will be delayed or cancelled. It is requested that Escalations are held.
New Disruption
Sweden 19th June 2008 : Please be advised that it is a National Holiday in Sweden on Friday the 20th June. Please hold escalations until Monday the 23rd June 2008.
On-going Disruption
Switzerland and Austria 4th June 2008: Please be advised that between Saturday the 7th June and Sunday the 29th June 2008, the European Football Championship will take place in Switzerland and Austria. This will result in delays (pick-up and deliveries) in some areas of Switzerland. This could affect the host cities, Basel, Bern, Geneva and Zurich but could also affect other areas due to various public viewing places and higher traffic volume all over Switzerland. The impact will be kept as low as possible. All relevant shipments will be given an "AN" status update.
Ongoing Disruption
Baghdad 25th March 2008: Please be informed in several parts of Baghdad curfew was imposed and major roads have been closed to public transportation. All Government, Public, Private Offices, Educational Institutions, Shops and Establishments are expected to remain closed during the curfew. Public transport and private vehicles will be off the roads. Please expect delays in Customs clearance, deliveries and pick ups. Please be advised that escalations are to be held during this time.
