Job Summary:
Identification of the Market
To assist in the identification of all MA within their local area and child accounts linked to National MA, GAM and multi-country customers that will contribute to the achievement of the revenue and profit budget.
- Researches local market customers with existing or prospect local MA opportunities
- Provides input into the determination of the national MA opportunities
Customer Action Planning
To develop, implement and maintain customer action plans that detail for each new and existing customer how the relationship will be developed to improve their profitable revenue contribution to TNT.
- Develops an action plan for each existing and prospect MA within their portfolio
- Regularly reviews and updates customer action plans to reflect any changes (positive or negative)
- Monitors achievement of revenue and EBIT budgets and targets per individual MA.
- Establishes appropriate relationships and communicates with other relevant functional areas
Selling & Relationship Management
To ensure we win and develop MA customers within the local area and providing solutions that will meet the needs of the customers
- Ensures correct levels of TNT Management are in contact at the right level within the MA customers within their portfolio
- Identifies new and existing business opportunities/solutions (including corrective action plans) with MA customer within their portfolio
- Supports new and existing business opportunities/solutions (including corrective action plans) for child accounts linked to National MA, GAM and multi-country customers within their portfolio
- Develops the business solutions that fit with the identified business opportunities and TNT capabilities
- Presents solutions and offers to customers via the most appropriate medium
- Wins/closes on solutions offered to customers
Customer Relationship Management
To keep MA customers through consistently focusing on reviewing and improving customer relationships through building lasting relationships.
- Forms professional and appropriate, face-to-face, relationships at senior level in existing and prospect MA customers within their portfolio
- Manages and maintains regular contact with the customer at all appropriate levels
- Agrees appropriate times to review the performance of the account with the customer and Line Management
- Ensures effective two-way lines of communication exist between yourself and the MA Indoor Sales, relevant Key Account Managers with National and multi-country responsibility for child accounts within the portfolio and all other involved parties
- Fully supports all TNT actions required to maintain customer profitability
- Manages and maintains up-to-date records of all customer information and activities on the central sales system
Essential Educational and / or Training Qualifications & Certificates:
- A degree holder
- 3-6 years experience in an international and professional sales and marketing environment, preferably within the supply chain industry.
Preferred Experience and Knowledge
- Express or Logistics industry background
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets (personal)
- Organisational awareness (structure and products & services)
Necessary Technical / Functional Skills
- Business to business selling & negotiation skills
- Communication capability up to senior management level, both internally and externally
- Ability to interpret standard business reports and employ information effectively both internally and externally
- Fluent use of written and spoken English
