The index-based fuel surcharge is based on the Dubai Fateh Crude oil spot price. It will be subject to monthly adjustments based on a rounded average of the spot price for a barrel of crude oil, as published by the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Crude oil is the base product to produce jet fuel and truck diesel and is therefore considered the appropriate index base for both air and road transport.

29th March 2015 -2nd May 2015 - 14.25%
1st March 2015 -28th March 2015 - 13.00%
1st February 2015 - 28th February 2015 -14.75%
1st January 2015 - 31st January 2015 - 16.5%
30th November 2014 - 31st December 2014 - 17.5%
2nd November 2014 - 29th November 2014 - 18.5%
Please be aware that there will be a one month lag in the application of the index. For example, the monthly average price for Dubai Fateh Crude in April will be published during the second week of May and will be used to determine the applicable fuel surcharge in June.
TNT express’ fuel surcharge will be adjusted monthly in line with the change in Dubai Fateh Crude oil spot prices according to the following scale:
