By making sure your shipment is packed well, you minimise the chance of damage and delay during transport:
- Use suitable packaging and avoid empty space as much as possible;
- Use filling material to fill up empty space ;
- Present multiple parcels separately;
- Protect fragile parcels with sturdy materials and make sure the shipment is closed well (especially fluids).
Heavy shipments (from 30 kg)
Shipments weighing 30 kg or more can be presented on pallet. A pallet is obligatory for shipments weighing more than 70 kg. You minimise the chance of damage during transportation by sealing the pallet.
Should you opt to not present your shipment palletised, then you need to attach a Heavy parcel Label to your shipment (in certain countries, our officers by law are not allowed to lift parcels heavier than 30 kg). You can order these labels via our Customer Services Desk. If you not have any of these labels, then you can offer the parcel separately, so that the driver picking up the parcel can still attach the label.
