The first shipment you arrange with TNT Express, will probably be the most difficult one. That is exactly why we are more than happy to help you when you book for the first time. So you can be sure your parcels will arrive at their destination on time. You can also rest assured that everything is handled following the most recent regulations – especially when you are shipping abroad. Customs and airport authorities do install strict security guidelines for the transport of express shipments.

You can easily book your shipment online via Send a package. You enter Send a package on our website, then complete the shipment details and confirm online. Next, you print all shipping documents and attach these to your consignment.  

The first shipment is handled as follows:

  • A TNT driver picks up the shipment: you leave the consignment open for check up; 
  • The TNT driver then checks, with you, the content and compares this with the description on the consignment note you printed;
  • If all is ok, the TNT driver will close the shipment with you;
  • After arrival at the depot, TNT employees will check your shipment again with x-ray (which is harmless for your goods);
  • Your shipment will be sent. From then on, you can check its status in several ways.

You do not need to present your shipment open on the next occasion. Apart from that, the procedure remains the same.

Becoming a customer

From the first time you book a shipment with TNT Express, you are our customer. However, you are not yet registered as a regular customer. As a regular customer, you will receive an account number making doing business together electronically even easier; you can use for example our internet, PC and mobile applications. To receive an account number, please contact our Customer Service Desk. Obviously, this is not compulsory; you will also be able to book shipments online via Send a package.
