TNT on 2 August announced its intention to separate its Mail and Express businesses into two independent companies as of 1 January 2011. Each company will operate with its own headquarters, management staff, accountability, resources, and a more consistent product portfolio.
The decision is in line with announcements made in December 2009 to allow TNT to accelerate growth in day-definite delivery services, namely Parcels, Freight, Special Delivery Solutions and Emerging Platforms (“Vision 2015”), while separating Mail as a distinct legal entity.
The separation of TNT into two independent companies will have no influence or impact on the service offered to you as valued customers of TNT Express. Vision 2015 is aimed to better serve your needs by expanding our service offer with new value-added services, supported by more focused resources.
The decision is subject to review by TNT’s works councils and shareholders. We will continue to inform you of the organisational change of TNT in the coming months.
