Communication
Communication is an essential ingredient to ensuring a rewarding and satisfying employment experience. At TNT we encourage clear, open and honest two-way communication which is supported through the development of our 'Communication Policy'. This policy is intended to promote effective communication throughout our business - internally, upwards, downwards, inter-departmental, intra-departmental and externally. Feedback on your performance
As with communication, feedback is also a two-way process. At TNT we appreciate the importance of formal and informal feedback on performance. We have a method in place to assist this process through the Performance Appraisal System. Every employee will receive a six-monthly performance appraisal (formally and informally) during which your manager will review your progress, development needs, objectives and career succession plans. This process is interactive and will allow your input and suggestions to ensure that your employment experience remains rewarding and challenging.
Training and Development
Internal
We recognise that on-going training and development is an integral factor to ensure continuous improvement - both personally and professionally. This is supported through our dedicated Training and Development Facilitator together with the use of external training providers where required. We provide a professional, high quality, pro-active training service with results oriented training objectives to ensure that you are trained and equipped to do your job to the best of your ability and in line with TNT's expectations.
External
In addition to providing our internal training and development service, we also encourage our employees to undertake external study that is relevant to the business of TNT, your current role at TNT, or your career aspirations within TNT. Where this is the case, TNT may support this study by way of financial assistance towards study fees, related costs, or study leave to attend lectures and exams. Your continued development rewards TNT, as well as you personally.

Remuneration and Benefits
We recognise that remuneration and benefits are key factors in securing and retaining talented personnel. TNT's Remuneration and Benefits Policy is designed to provide a framework that rewards achievement of business objectives in addition to ensuring market comparison and internal relativity of roles. Remuneration is reviewed annually via an interactive consultative process.
Employee Assistance Programme
The TNT EAP (Employee Assistance Programme) is in place to provide a confidential and independent service for our employees when they are in need of professional counselling from trained professionals. Although we encourage all of our employees to seek assistance from either their manager or the Human Resources Manager, we appreciate that this can sometimes be difficult, especially when the issues relate to personal problems. The EAP service is available on a 'self-referral' basis and is operated 24 hours, seven days a week. TNT will cover the cost of up to three counselling sessions, which will remain totally confidential (unless you request otherwise).
