Certain pharmaceutical and biomedical shipments may be classified as dangerous goods, which are articles or substances that may pose a significant risk to health, safety or property.

Medicines can be radioactive or toxic for example, and blood samples can contain infectious substances.

TNT provides solutions for the transportation of dangerous goods for approved contract customers.

Only approved contract customers may transport dangerous goods, under strict guidelines. Dangerous goods must be packed, documented, labelled and transported in accordance with applicable regulations. TNT transports all such goods in accordance with IATA regulations and employs IATA-trained employees.
