Lamplaimat Thailand, 12 February 2010 TNT Express Worldwide (Thailand) Co., Ltd., a leading provider of integrated express services from the Netherlands today delivered some 6,000 books to Lamplaimat-Pattana School in Buri Ram province as part of  its latest CSR initiative to provide practical support with recognizable and sustainable community benefits. The TNT book donation and delivery is in support of the Population and Community Development Association (PDA) Rural Education project.

At today's event which included a media visit to the Pattana-Lamplaimat School, TNT also donated Baht 20,000 to the community library of Lamplaimat-Pattana School.

Alan Miu, Managing Director of TNT Thailand said, "TNT Thailand is especially pleased for this opportunity to do what we do best in support of such a worthwhile cause and for the PDA so ably chaired by senator Mechai Viravaidya.
We have long been able to use our logistics expertise effectively to help those in need and our presence here today is what you might call the public face of one aspect of the help we are proud and privileged to provide.”

Senator Mechai, PDA founder and chairman said, "The PDA needs all the support it can get and we are always especially grateful when that support is both generous and practical such as TNT’s delivery of donated books and its further donation of Baht 20,000 to the Pattana-Lamplaimat School library. Our Rural Education project depends for its success on the hands-on involvement of the students themselves in encouraging local people to use the library and establish the school as a centre of community knowledge. TNT’s support has given that project a head start.”
