Surcharges
The Fuel Surcharge
Due to continuing fuel price fluctuations, TNT applies an index-based surcharge to all shipments until further notice. This approach provides our customers with a fair and transparent charging mechanism for fuel costs. More information about the TNT fuel surcharges worldwide.
Out of Area Surcharge
TNT provides customers with collection and delivery services in remote and less-accessible locations for which an additional "Out of Area" surcharge is applied to recover the additional costs incurred.
Import Handling Surcharge
Customers can select "Invoice to Receiver" on the consignment note to indicate that the invoice is to be sent to the receiver in the local currency. More information about the Import Handling Surcharge.
Storage and Return fee
We will apply the enclosed charges for all in/outbound international and domestic shipments. This will ensure that you get better services and at the same time you pay for exactly what you need. Enhanced Security Surcharge
Following recent incidents involving the transportation of packages containing illegal explosive devices, TNT is implementing additional procedures, activities and investments to safeguard our customers' shipments whilst in our custody. To partially offset the additional costs an Enhanced Security Surcharge will be applied to all shipments from the 12th December 2010.
Non-Electronic Surcharges
A non-electronic surcharge is applied to consignments where data is not electronically submitted, i.e. handwritten consignment notes. A charge is applied when customers require a paper invoice.
