The fuel Surcharge
Due to continuing fuel price fluctuations, TNT applies an index-based fuel surcharge to all shipments. This approach provides our customers with a transparent charging mechanism for fuel costs. More information about the Fuel Surcharge.
Special Handling Surcharge
Freight of a non-standard nature creates special challenges whithin out networks. To ensure that your shipments are delivered on time and in perfect condition, please familiarise yourself with the types of shipments that require special handling.
Non-Electronic Surcharge
A non-electronic surcharge is applied to consignments where data is not electronically submitted, i.e. handwritten consignment notes. A charge is applied when customers require a paper invoice.
Receiver Pays Surcharge
Customers can select "Invoice to Receiver" on the consignment note to indicate that the invoice is to be sent to the receiver in the local currency.
Enhanced Security Surcharge
Following well-publicised incidents involving the transportation of packages containing illegal explosive devices, TNT has implemented additional procedures, activities and investments to safeguard our customers' shipments whilst in our custody. To partially offset the additional costs an Enhanced Security Surcharge is applied to all shipments.
