On-going Disruption

Tuesday 5th May 2009: News agencies are reporting that restaurants and cafes in Mexico City are to re-open on Wednesday (6 May) after the country recorded a fall in new cases of the Swine Flu virus. Libraries, museums, and churches are to follow suit a day later but cinemas, theatres, and bars to remain closed, according to Government sources.

The date for the re-opening of schools and some businesses across the country has yet to be confirmed by the Mexican Government.

Accordingly to the World Health Organisation (WHO) more than 1,000 cases of the virus have been reported in 20 countries. However, officials say that the rise in cases in recent days was due in main to results of lab tests coming through, rather than a new surge in cases.

We are pleased to say that our operation in Mexico continues to deliver a 'near normal' service under these extremely challenge circumstances. It is expected that 'non-delivery' of goods due to businesses being closed will remain an issue until the Government lifts its restrictions.

 New Disruption

Switzerland and Austria 4th June 2008: Please be advised that between Saturday the 7th June and Sunday the 29th June 2008, the European Football Championship will take place in Switzerland and Austria. This will result in delays (pick-up and deliveries) in some areas of Switzerland. This could affect the host cities, Basel, Bern, Geneva and Zurich but could also affect other areas due to various public viewing places and higher traffic volume all over Switzerland. The impact will be kept as low as possible. All relevant shipments will be given an "AN" status update.
