Social Responsibility
TNT believes that everyone has an obligation to give back to society. As one of the world’s biggest companies, TNT takes its corporate social responsibility seriously and is a firm advocate of environmental and children’s causes.
In the Philippines, TNT is known for its active partnership with the United Nation’s World Food Programme, especially its annual staging of Walk the World, the global fundraising event against hunger.
Recently, TNT has also launched its Planet Me campaign as it also takes an active stance on environmental issues.
United Nation's World Food Programme (WFP)
TNT Philippines supports the partnership it has with the United Nation's World Food Programme (WFP) entitled 'Moving the World'. For the last nine years, TNT Philippines has staged 'Walk the World' - a series of sponsored walks in 63 countries, through 24-time zones in one 24-hour period. The most recent Walk on May 29, 2011 gathered over 3,000 people and raised 4.7 million pesos that directly goes to school feeding in Mindanao. This amount will allow WFP to provide 470,000 hot nutritious meals to schoolchildren in conflict-affected areas of Central Mindanao.

Planet Me

In 2007, TNT launched a global strategy called Planet Me to improve transparency on the company's carbon footprint, to drastically reduce CO2 emissions from the company's operations and to stimulate its 159,000 employees to do the same in their private lives.
The Planet Me initiative is a certified system to measure, report and manage its CO2 emissions.
TNT also implemented CO2 reduction initiatives in its eight most important operational areas: aviation, buildings, business travel, company cars, partnering with customers, operational fleet, procurement, and investments. The programme also aimed to stimulate employees to use less energy at home and on the road.
Locally, TNT Philippines partners with non-government organizations (NGOs) and local government units (LGUs) for its tree-planting activities.

Supplemental Learning Programme

TNT Philippines also conducts Saturday learning activities called the Supplemental Learning Program (SLP) for Sarnelli Center for Street Children Foundation, Inc. in Baclaran, Paranaque City. This initiative, a product of a culture of volunteerism at TNT, provides employees opportunities to help improve literary, academic and social skills of the less-fortunate children, and create positive and lasting impact within the community.
