TNT introduces “Sign on Screen” devices for instant, secure POD notification
TNT has introduced new upgraded “Mobile Worker Incab” devices to all its drivers to improve its delivery service to customers. TNT customers can now benefit from an instantaneous and secure proof of delivery (POD) service for their domestic or international shipments – worldwide.
The mobile communication devices are equipped with the ability to capture signatures electronically for the receipt of goods. Receivers of shipments simply sign for deliveries on the screen of their TNT driver’s hand-held appliance. The electronic signatures are then encrypted and securely stored - in real time - as part of TNT’s new global “Proof of Delivery” solution.
By signing the scanner’s screen, receivers no longer have to sign, print their name, or note the date and time of delivery. And if they receive multiple consignments in one go, they will only have to sign the screen once – for the entire delivery.
Scanned proof of delivery signatures can be viewed via TNT’s website, typically within 15 minutes of the driver completing the delivery. If you are a registered myTNT user, you can retrieve proof of delivery on line, in real time, and in a safe and secure environment. If not, simply call customer services who will be able to retrieve and provide you with proof of delivery signatures within minutes of the consignment’s delivery.
