Following recent incidents involving the transportation of items containing illegal explosive devices, we would like to update you on the enhanced security actions that TNT is taking to safeguard your goods whilst in our custody. To partially offset the cost of additional procedures, activities and investments that TNT is currently undertaking, a security surcharge will be applied from December 12, 2010.
由於最近非法爆裂裝置的運輸業事件，除TNT在原本安檢活動方面就有所投資並取得自主保安控管資格，但為增進監控管理並加強保障您交付的物件，TNT已額外投注人力與設備來維持最快速與最有效率的服務 並希望客戶部份負擔費用，，將從2010年12月12日開始額外收取安檢費用。。

In addition to full compliance with all new aviation, air cargo and other transportation regulatory requirements, TNT is taking the following actions:
除需完全符合所有航空公司的新規定，以及空運貨物和其他運輸管理的必要條件，

Implementation of additional screening measures for air and road freight, as well as increased activities to identify and mitigate security risks relating to our customers’ shipments
執行另外的空、陸運審查措施，以及加強驗明客戶的所裝載的貨物，以減輕安全風險。
Implementation of additional security procedures for new and unknown shippers as well as third party/transportation companies shipping on behalf of their own customers through TNT
另外針對透過TNT運送的新客戶以及代表其顧客的第三人(運輸公司)施行安檢程序。
Enhanced security awareness training programme for all operational staff involved in the transportation of goods, and strengthening of employee and partner security vetting and screening procedures.
對於所有關係到物件運送的營運管理員工，改進其安檢認知的訓練計劃，
且增強從業人員及經銷夥伴的安全檢查程序及方法。

In addition to complying with relevant new and existing national and international regulatory requirements for transportation security, please provide on the TNT consignment note a precise, full and accurate description of goods, as well as full sender and receiver details for all shipments carried by TNT.
除依照現行我國和國際運輸安全管理的新舊規定外，委由TNT運送裝載時請提供精確且充分描述貨物的清單，以及所有的寄件人及收件人的詳細資料。

Costs and resulting charges:

The additional TNT security activities, which have already resulted in unavoidable extra costs, will be partially recovered by the introduction of a new enhanced security surcharge applied to all international items transported by TNT from December 12, 2010. The surcharge will be applied as a charge per kg in the following manner:
額外強化的TNT安全檢查流程，導致難免的附加成本，承如上述說明的自2010年12月12日起將酌量收取安檢費用。收費方式將以每公斤計算：
NTD 2/kg applied to all international Express, Economy Express as well as Special service shipments
Minimum charge of NTD 20 per consignment
Maximum charge of NTD 425 per consignment.
每公斤新台幣2元計算，適用於所有全球一般快遞、經濟型快遞以及加值型特殊快遞
每票最少收取新台幣20元，每票最多收取新台幣425元
The level of surcharge has been kept deliberately low; however, any escalation in the level of security threat, causing further regulatory changes that impact our operational costs, may require us to revise the charge over time.
在逐步被要求提高安全檢查的標準下，導致業務成本遭受到衝擊，原本TNT一直壓低此收費標準；然而，在必須進一步做管理變革，隨著時間要求的前提下 我們必需校正收費方式。
