Understanding your invoice
When shipping consignments with TNT, the following surcharges apply:
Due to continuing fuel price fluctuations, TNT applies an index-based fuel surcharge to all shipments. This approach provides our customers with a transparent charging mechanism for fuel costs.
We provide collection and delivery services virtually anywhere you require. For certain remote and less-accessible locations an additional out-of-area surcharge is applied to cover additional costs incurred.
TNT reserves the right to assess fuel and other surcharges on shipments without notice. The amount and duration of any such surcharges will be determined at our sole discretion. By tendering your shipments to TNT, you agree to pay the surcharges, as determined by TNT.
COVID-19 has disrupted supply chains, reducing air cargo capacity globally.
This disruption has caused us to have to make adjustments to our networks which has increased our costs. As a result, we announced a “Temporary Surcharge” on all FedEx Express and TNT international parcel and freight shipments beginning April 6, 2020.
Beginning 2 November 2020, the “Temporary Surcharge” will be renamed as "Peak Surcharge."
TNT is an essential business keeping commerce moving and delivering critical relief during the COVID-19 crisis. We are still delivering for you as the applicable regulations allow despite local restrictions in various parts of the world.
These restrictions are disrupting the global supply chain and our costs have gone up in the new operating conditions. To continue providing our customers with the best possible service during this time, we are implementing a peak surcharge on all TNT international shipments beginning April 6, 2020.
