Understanding your invoice

Surcharges are additional charges that are mandatory and applicable to your TNT shipments.

When shipping consignments with TNT, the following surcharges apply:

Fuel surcharge

Due to continuing fuel price fluctuations, TNT applies an index-based fuel surcharge to all shipments. This approach provides our customers with a transparent charging mechanism for fuel costs.

Out-of-area surcharge

We provide collection and delivery services virtually anywhere you require. For certain remote and less-accessible locations an additional out-of-area surcharge is applied to cover additional costs incurred.

TNT reserves the right to assess fuel and other surcharges on shipments without notice. The amount and duration of any such surcharges will be determined at our sole discretion. By tendering your shipments to TNT, you agree to pay the surcharges, as determined by TNT.

Temporary Surcharge on All TNT Shipments (Effective April 6, 2020)

TNT is an essential business keeping commerce moving and delivering critical relief during the COVID-19 crisis. We are still delivering for you as the applicable regulations allow despite local restrictions in various parts of the world.

These restrictions are disrupting the global supply chain and our costs have gone up in the new operating conditions. To continue providing our customers with the best possible service during this time, we are implementing a temporary surcharge on all TNT international shipments beginning April 6, 2020.
