TNT applies an index-based fuel surcharge to all shipments. It is based on the spot price for U.S. Gulf Coast (USGC) kerosene-type jet fuel (as published by the US Energy Information Administration here).

The fuel surcharge for each TNT shipment is assessed on the transportation rates and the following applicable transportation-related surcharges.
Effective August 22, 2022, the Peak Surcharge will be factored in when assessing the fuel surcharge for each TNT international shipment.
Effective August 22, 2022, there will be adjustments to the fuel surcharge table below. Details on these changes can be found here.

There will be a two-week lag in the application of the fuel surcharge index. For example, the surcharge for January 7, 2019, will be based on the average spot price reported for December 28. Changes to the fuel surcharge are effective each Monday. Information on the fuel surcharge for each week will be available approximately the Friday before the surcharge is applicable.
TNT reserves the right to change the fuel surcharge index and table without notice. Both the amount and duration of the surcharge will be determined at TNT's sole discretion. If the fuel surcharge rises above the maximum value or drops below minimum value, or there are changes to the trigger points, the above table will be updated.
