TNT delivers customer benefits with move into new London City premises.

TNT is taking over a former City Link depot to improve its services to customers in the City and central London.

The multi-million pound investment by TNT - advised by 3PL - sees the new occupants secure a strategically important location in its network to service Domestic and International customer requirements in the City and Central London areas.

TNT has secured a 10-year agreement to acquire leasehold interest in the depot at Willow Walk, in Bermondsey. The depot faced complete closure when City Link fell into administration on Christmas Eve last year.

Simon Harper, TNT UK's Director of Operations, said: “This investment fits in with our Outlook Strategy through which we are continuing to review and invest into our network infrastructure and automation, to provide the very best levels of service to our customers and so we can operate at cost competitive levels.”

The decision to move into Willow Walk comes after the recent announcement that TNT – The People Network is opening a new super-depot in the South West of the country at Swindon, creating up to another 200 jobs.

TNT takes possession of the Willow Walk depot this month and expects the site to be fully integrated and operational later this year.
