Businesses in northern Scotland are to benefit after TNT Express, the UK’s leading express delivery company, moved to a new depot in Inverness, offering easier access for customers and the potential for handling greater volumes of business into the future.
The purpose-built facility, consisting of approximately 10,750 sq ft of warehouse and 1,200 sq ft of office space, has been developed by local contractor William Gray Construction Ltd.
In contrast to TNT Express’ previous depot, the new building will feature dedicated customer collections facilities with easier and more spacious access for visitors.
Situated to provide easy access to the surrounding road networks, the new facility has also been developed on a site which would provide scope for expansion to meet future growth in demand.
The opening of the new depot supports the company’s ongoing strategy to invest in its own infrastructure, while providing convenient and efficient services to local business which will help them meet their delivery needs.
On a daily basis, TNT delivers more than 1 million items across the world, providing customers with delivery solutions that are flexible, timely and efficient, enabling them to deliver their promises to their customers – safely, on time and on budget.
