TNT Express is aware of video footage on social media channels which shows a young schoolboy riding on the rear bumper of one of its vehicles in Blackburn, Lancashire.
We do not condone such dangerous and illegal behaviour which could lead to serious injury or worse.
The company has ascertained that our driver was unaware of the young boy’s presence at the rear of his trailer.
TNT Express has a comprehensive driver training programme designed to ensure the safety of its employees and other road users including pedestrians.
We take such matters very seriously and are in close contact with Lancashire police who are investigating this matter.
Once identified, our Health and Safety team would like to work closely with the boy’s school to help educate children about road safety and the dangers presented by large goods vehicles.
