What are ‘Incoterms’?
’Incoterms’, or International Commercial Terms, are a set of rules which define the responsibilities of sellers and buyers for the delivery of goods under sales contracts. They summarise the tasks, responsibilities and risks relating to an international shipment, such as when ownership of the goods changes and under what conditions, and who will pay for duties, taxes, transportation costs, etc.
