Understanding your invoice
When shipping consignments with TNT, the following surcharges apply:
We provide collection and delivery services virtually anywhere you require. For certain remote and less-accessible locations an additional out-of-area surcharge is applied to cover additional costs incurred.
TNT reserves the right to assess fuel and other surcharges on shipments without notice. The amount and duration of any such surcharges will be determined at our sole discretion. By tendering your shipments to TNT, you agree to pay the surcharges, as determined by TNT.
COVID-19 has disrupted supply chains, reducing air cargo capacity globally.
This disruption has caused us to have to make adjustments to our networks which has increased our costs. As a result, we announced a “Temporary Surcharge” on all FedEx Express and TNT international parcel and freight shipments beginning 6 April.
Beginning 2 November 2020, the “Temporary Surcharge” will be renamed as "Peak Surcharge."
We announced a peak surcharge on all TNT international shipments beginning April 6, 2020.
We implemented this surcharge due to the various COVID-19 containment restrictions issued in countries around the world. Those restrictions continue to disrupt the global supply chain. As a result, air cargo capacity is limited, and we are incurring incremental costs as we adjust our international networks to best deliver much-needed goods and services in this constrained environment.
From January 25, 2021, the surcharge amount for some TNT international shipments originating in South Korea will increase. These increases will allow us to continue providing the best possible service during this time. Updated amounts can be found below.
