We provide collection and delivery services virtually anywhere you require. For certain remote and less-accessible locations an additional out-of-area surcharge is applied to cover additional costs incurred.

Surcharges are additional charges that are mandatory and applicable to your TNT shipments.

When shipping consignments with TNT, the following surcharges apply:

Updates to our surcharges (effective 13 January 2025)

NEW: U.S. Inbound Processing Fee

Effective 13 January 2025, a charge of €1.35 per shipment is assessed on U.S. import shipments in connection with the processing of those shipments for clearance.

Updates to our surcharges (effective 6 January 2025)

1. Additional Handling Surcharges (AHS) - Weight*

Updated from £17 to £34 per shipment

2. NEW: Unauthorized Charge - Dimensions*

Introduction of Unauthorized Charge of £340 per shipment for extremely long or bulky items that exceed the following dimensions:
For parcels (packages:)
Length is greater than 274cm, or
Length plus girth is greater than 420cm (girth = 2x width + 2x height)
For freight (palletised items):
Length is greater than 302cm

Important: TNT shipments exceeding these limits may not be accepted into our network and could be refused by the driver or returned to the sender. If found in our network, these items will be subject to the Unauthorized Charge. You may contact Special Services to discuss possibilities for shipments that exceed these limits. For shipments not exceeding these limits, other dimension-based surcharges may apply, such as Non-Conveyable (SNC) or Exceeds Dimensions (SED).

Updates to our surcharges (effective 1 January 2024)

In 2024, we are updating the base amounts of the following surcharges.


Non-Stackable*	£168/shipment
Dangerous Goods: Dry Ice	£10.50/shipment
Remote Area: Out-of-Delivery Area**	£0.38/kg
Non-Electronic Consignment	£8.00/shipment

Additional taxes for TNT collect shipments imported from India, Vietnam & Thailand

Invoices for TNT collect shipments imported from India, Vietnam and Thailand will reflect an additional tax in the amount and from the effective date as indicated in the table below. This is due to a change in our business model, and is compliant with relevant tax regulations. The tax will apply to all TNT customers whose shipments originate in India, Thailand or Vietnam, including payers billed outside of these countries.
